Tonight we attended another Toowong Rotary meeting and heard from Cameron, the owner the Greenbrand. It was great to see everyone again and support Cameron’s presentation with giving the insight of Kings.

I assisted Juliet to the UQ events night where we set up a Kings stool. I spoke to various people about the college culture, sporting and events. I answered questions about applications and what to look forward to whilst promoting the benefits college gives academically and socially.

I worked with Kinari and Juliet for an UQ Expo Set up in Gold Coast to represent King’s. We helped at a stand and with a Q&A. We talked to different students who were interested in joining King’s next year and helped talk about college from our experiences so far.

I’m attending the Rotary Tri Division conference at Royal Pines this weekend. I collected today 110 native seedlings that we are giving away at the conference. To receive a plant, just join the platform and commit to writing a story about planting the tree.

Spent 3 days up at Woodgate catching up with my dear friends from university days. Went on numerous walks and it so so nice to less weeds than I’d normally see around Brisbane. Still, I can see Glycine taking a foothold in the casurinas along the beach, and if nothing done they’ll totally smother the trees and it’ll cost thousands to remove. I pulled out a few by the roots (easy due to being in sand) and picked up a few items of plastic rubbish. Not enough to record work on here, but I felt much better doing a little to help, rather than walking by and do nothing.
